Choosing a Career

I remember how it felt like when I was about to graduate in High School. I guess anyone at that age would go through a certain crisis: first you have to leave precious friends behind, you are going to say goodbye to the comforts of high school, easy-go-lucky teen age life and brace yourself with the challenges of university life. Choosing a career was one tough job for me, too.

Will I pursue a medical course? Am I good in science subjects? Can I see myself in a laboratory holding those ph meters? Would I rather pursue a teaching degree? What are my assets? What can I see myself doing 5 years down the road? These were the questions I had to answer myself.

In the end it still pays to do what we want to do. Sure, there are expectations from other people but choosing a career is something that is not dependent on other people’s opinions. I am glad I chose well.
